Harry Styles Reveals Just How Long He's Planning To Grow His Hair
Monday, December 7, 2015 - 13:50
It goes without saying that Harry Styles'
hair is the stuff of legend. Rumour has it that mane of hair is softer
and silkier than the fur on the underside of a puppy's ears and we've
even heard it said that those locks were once offered a shampoo
commericial in Japan.
But while that's all just rumour, one things we do now know for certain is just how long the One Direction singer is actually planning to grow his hair.
While Harry has already revealed that he's intending to get the chop for charity, there is a certain length he wants to grow his locks to first. While he's not intending to do the full Rapunzel and grow it so it's bum length, there's apparently a fair bit more growing out he wants to do before the big haircut. This revelation comes thanks to 1D's appearance on The Late Late Show last week, where host James Corden grilled Harry about his plans to change up his hair. Bringing up the fact that Harry discussed his hair plans with none other than Prince Harry when they met at the Royal Variety Show the other week, James wanted to know exactly what his plans are for his next hair style.
Gesturing to his nipples and giving the majority of people watching a communal heart attack while he was at it, Harry joked he wants it that long before getting serious and explaining that his actual aim is a full nine inches.
The real reason for this isn't just because he wants to perfect a fishtail braid before getting the cut, but because that's the minimum length you need it to be to be able to donate your hair to charity. Although James sadly didn't take a ruler to Harry's head to illustrate just how long we can actually expect it to be when it's all grown out, our highly (un)scientific calculations have left us with the conclusion that there's still a bit of a way to go yet. Think way past the shoulders and yep, towards his nips.
At least this means he's got a bit of time to experiment with a few more styles before the chop, but it still might be time to start thinking about sorting your wardrobe of black clothes in preparation to mourn the passing of the man bun.
